At the heart of every great town is a group of people dedicated to its artists. Savannah has ARTS Southeast, providing space, support and inspiration for emerging and established artists. We recently had the pleasure of meeting the founders, Emily Earl and John Witzky, awesome humans who also happen to be awesome artists. Next time you're in Savannah, definitely stop by and check out what they have going on.
We discovered this podcast via our conversation with artist Heather Jones. It provides fantastic insights into artists processes and lives in general. 100% recommend.
This previously unreleased cover of "Stories We Could Tell" is now available on the release of Tom Petty's Long After Dark (Deluxe Edition), and it's beautiful. Originally written by John Sebastian and recorded by the Everly Brothers (and later by Jimmy Buffet), this version by Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's from 1982 is an absolute gem.
