Nosara, Solana Beach, Cancun..we avoided winter doldrums with some great oceanside adventures. Now as the days get longer at home, we're headed to the lakes and rivers in our own back yard.

Here's a little taste of what's been fueling our daydreams as we drift towards warmer days:

1. Spring Jams

2. State of Wonder

In 2025 we will read everything written by Ann Patchett. This one kicked things off for us and we can't stop.

3. The Green Mile

The Green Mile might be Stephen King's best book/movie combo. While you're at it, give The Body and Shawshank Redemption a read/watch. The upcoming summer calls for just this type of indulgence.

It has been a privilege and total creative JOY to be involved with the Close Company bars opening this spring and summer. The brainchild of the brilliant minds at Gin & Luck, these bars are the unbuttoned, unapologetic sister of Death & Co. A little louder, a little looser and all about good drinks, great people and a hell of a time. If you're lucky enough to be near Nashville, Atlanta, or Las Vegas, stop in for a perfect cocktail by the folks who could write the book on what good hospitality means.

5. Love For St. Louis

The tornado that hit St. Louis a few weeks back changed a lot of lives in a matter of minutes. Thankfully, we were far enough from the full force of the storm, but so many others were not so lucky. It has been heartwarming to see the greater St. Louis community come together to support those whose lives were upended, a much needed silver lining in the aftermath of a natural disaster.

RJ Hartbeck, a local photographer was asked to document the aftermath of the tornado. in a recent post he said, "If you asked me three weeks ago what this city needed, I might've given you a list of ideas, fixes, and hopeful futures. But this storm has had a way of simplifying those statements. Right now, what St. Louis needs most, is each other." 🙏
